Special Considerations for Military Families

Out-of-District Enrollment

Pike Road Schools offers out-of-district enrollment for the children of military families who reside on base.


Enrolling Before Arrival

For military members who are not living in Pike Road but who intend to move into Pike Road within 120 days, we allow enrollment if documentation is provided at the time of enrollment.  The following is required:

  • Military orders of the service member parent or an official letter from the service member’s command indicating such relocation.   
  • Documentation indicating a permanent address within the school district, such as a deed, signed lease, or ratified sales contract, shall be provided to the PRS within 120 days of a child’s enrollment.   
  • A review of documentation and approval for enrollment/registration is done in the Central Office located at 696 Georgia Washington Road, Pike Road, AL 36064. For more information about this process contact the PRS Registrar, Tiffany Walters, at 334-420-5300 or tiffany.walters@pikeroadschools.org
